GREATER GOOD

Superheroes serve their communities, and Kyle is dedicated to giving back. He wants to make dance and dance education accessible to everyone, and to make Boston the best West Coast dance scene possible. To further these goals he has a variety of projects underway: dance nights, guided drills workshops, and more!

Kyle danced for an entire year before discovering that there was more than one regular West Coast night, so he created a website to centralize information about all the opportunities to dance West Coast Swing in the Boston area.

Kyle joined the WestieBOS team in 2017, and in 2019, Kyle received full ownership of the dance. This popular monthly dance continues to push the limits of what it means to be one of the best dances in the Boston area.

Drills & Skills

Group lessons, private lessons, and social dancing are great, but if you’re not doing drills at home you’re missing out on more opportunities to transform your dancing. Kyle has been picking up useful drills throughout his years of dancing, and he started a Drills and Skills workshop to make that information available to the community. In these guided practice sessions, attendees gather tools to empower them to take charge of their own progress.

J&J Night

Kyle started a J&J night because he wanted to provide dancers with a safe and supportive environment to dance in competition, to get spotlight experience, and to have more open communication with judges. The J&J nights are also great for celebrating Boston dancers of all levels!

"It's now about the journey."
